About Clipnest

Why we built it

Saving a video you care about shouldn't mean wading through fake download buttons, pop-ups and pages that ask for your password. We wanted a downloader that is quick on a phone, clear about what it does, and respectful of both its users and the people who create the content.

What we believe

• The tool comes first. It's the first thing on the page. Ads are clearly labelled and kept away from the controls.
• No invented features. We show the qualities that exist, and say plainly when something can't be downloaded.
• Privacy by default. No accounts, no unnecessary data, and analytics only with your consent.
• Respect for creators. We only work with public media, never bypass privacy settings, and act on valid copyright notices.

How it's funded

The service is free and supported by advertising. We don't sell personal data.

Who writes our guides

Articles on our blog are written and tested by the Clipnest editorial team on current iPhone, Android, Windows and macOS devices, and updated when things change. If you spot a mistake, please tell us.
